"Mory shows through song his love for God through worship on his debut CD, “Stay Here”, which will be officially released in June 2008 on the MVC Music label. A native of Harvey, IL (a suburb of Chicago), was raised primarily by his grandmother and mom who has suffered with depression and mental illness all her life. Mory was an adult when he met his dad for the first time. Mory is a veteran of the US Army and has an BS from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Mory who was taken to church by his grandmother, until he was old enough go by himself, has been touching lives from a very young age while ministering to audiences of many different races and nationalities in the United States. Mory when not ministering as a solo artist serves regularly as part of a praise team and choir in a large non-denominational church, in St. Louis, MO.
An accomplished songwriter, Mory contributed nine original Holy Spirit inspired and experience based songs to the “Stay Here” project that range in style from praise and worship, smooth ballads, 60’s, and urban contemporary. The title track “Stay Here” is simple yet explains exactly how he feels in a loving and sincere way. One listener asked Mory regarding the title track: “Now that you are in the presence of God why not stay there? Where else would you want to be? What else would you rather do than stay in the presence of God praising and worshiping Him?”
“Stay Here” was produced by KBN (Stellar Award winner) of St. Louis, MO. “Stay Here” has something for everyone. It includes sax appearances by Merlin Devine. “Stay Here” is a worship experience which encourages true intimacy and a pursuit of God and His awesome glory.
As Mory recently stated, “Stay Here gives us a glimpse into what occurs in Mory’s prayer time with God. Through these songs God knows that he loves to worship Him. Also, he appreciated God telling him how to handle trials and tests.” Mory is thrilled that his music is blessing people, delivering people, and encouraging people. Many worshipers have said they enjoy every song on the project. " |
