A huge part of the ministry of 1000 Days is their work in raising support for and awareness of the many orphans in Kenya, Africa. During each one of their concerts they take time out to have their singer, Valerie Hays, talk about her trips to Kenya and an organization that she and her husband started in 2007 called Mercy's Hope.
